Transportable Buildings
Transportable buildings are buildings which are built by the manufacturer at their workshop and then transported to another site where they are installed. They are transported to site by railways, roads or by cargo ships and planes. They neither require any foundation nor do they require any assembling. Transportable buildings can be used for permanent or temporary shelter. They are mostly used in cases where a place of work keeps on changing very often. For example they can be used to set up posts for army officers or a filming studio or shelter for mining and construction workers near the mining and construction site respectively. They are used to provide shelter to forest officers in forest. They can also be used to set up temporary shelter during storms or to set up emergency clinics. They can also be used for storage. Most of the transportable buildings are foldable this makes them convenient for shipping.
Transportable buildings are made up of stainless steel where as those used for storage are made of galvanized steel. The transportable buildings should be manufactured with strong and large doors so that the furniture can be comfortably fitted through them. They should have large windows for proper ventilation and for enough natural light to come in. They should have good flooring. They should have thick and strong walls. They are made so strong that they can resist natural calamities like earthquakes, tornadoes, and hurricanes as well. They are sometimes anchored to ground for extra safety. They come with a structural warranty for few years.
Transportable buildings are available in various price ranges. They are available for sale as well for hire. The price increases as the amenities provided increase. Transportable buildings are available in a variety of colors, configurations, and sizes as per requirement. The basic model comes with large windows and entrance door. They have provision for telephone and internet connection. They come complete with electrical wiring for 110v/220v. The walls are rigidly insulated and properly finished. They have complete vinyl flooring. The buildings with many amenities include a kitchen, a bathroom equipped with showers, and a separate bedroom. The most advanced buildings have provision for conversion of solar energy to electricity. Connecting units are also available for having a separate office, clinic, or a classroom etc.
Due to the availability of advanced technology it takes no time for manufacturers to deliver and install the building at customer site. Using designing tools and animation the manufacturer can virtually show how the outer and inner view of the building will be. This helps the customer to visualize how his building will be and allows him to make changes as per his requirement. In this way customer knows how his building will be even before the actual manufacturing of the building starts.
Transportable buildings if not made from proper materials faces problems like bending of chassis, rotten floors, and doors of small size which fall apart.
